This Head of Technical role will see you working withall the major UK retailers and leading a large site for one of theUKs largest chilled food groups With further opportunities toprogress within this leading food giant which is constantlyexpanding their operations and sites. You will need to apply yourexperience within technical and quality, using your leadershipskills to succeed and develop. With a strong company culture, theyoffer extensive training plans and benefits. 1. Quality Control:Implementing and maintaining quality control processes to ensureconsistency and excellence in the production of food products. 2.Compliance: Ensuring compliance with food safety regulations,industry standards, and certifications such as HACCP, BRC, and ISO.3. Team Management: Leading a team of technical professionals,including quality assurance managers, food technologists, and labtechnicians. 4. Product Development: Collaborating with the productdevelopment team to introduce new products or improve existing oneswhile ensuring technical feasibility and quality standards. 5.Supplier Management: Overseeing relationships with suppliers tomaintain quality raw materials and ingredients for production. 6.Audits and Inspections: Coordinating and managing internal andexternal audits, inspections, and certifications to uphold qualityand safety standards. 7. Continuous Improvement: Identifyingopportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, andefficiency enhancement within the technical department. 8. CrisisManagement: Developing and implementing contingency plans for foodsafety incidents or product recalls. Qualifications: - Bachelor'sor Master's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a relatedfield. - Extensive experience in a technical role within the foodmanufacturing industry, with a proven track record of qualitymanagement. - Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, qualitystandards, and industry best practices. - Excellent leadership,communication, and problem-solving skills. - Certification in foodsafety (e.g., HACCP, BRC) is highly desirable.
