Blush & Bloom Talent are pleased to be working in partnership with a leading manufacturer in the cosmetics & personal care industry. Due to recent business expansion, they’re now seeking an experienced Head of R&D to drive product innovation, lead a talented team, and ensure cutting-edge developments in a fast-paced environment.


As Head of R&D, you will take ownership of the research and development function, overseeing new product development, enhancing existing formulations, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to bring innovative products to market while managing projects from concept to completion.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement R&D strategies aligned with business goals, identifying new opportunities and staying ahead of industry trends.
  • Lead the development of new formulations and improve existing products, collaborating with sales and production teams to ensure market success.
  • Oversee R&D projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
  • Manage and mentor a high-performing R&D team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with internal departments and external stakeholders to align R&D initiatives with business needs.
  • Ensure all R&D activities adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements.


Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in R&D, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Degree (BSc/MSc) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or a related field.
  • Experience in the cosmetics, beauty, or personal care industry essential.
  • Strong project management skills and a track record of successfully launching new products.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.
