Our client has a reputation in the field for tackling highly complex analytical studies that require extensive industry expertise to solve. Working for over 65 years in the aquatic, ecotoxicology, and environmental fate industries, they support their clients in understanding the lifecycle of chemicals in the environment and impact on the ecosystem.

Based in a truly picturesque seafront location in Brixham, Devon, they offer a collaborative and team focussed culture, alongside well-equipped laboratories boasting the latest analytical instrumentation.

Our client is seeking an accomplished Environmental Fate & Metabolism SME to lead their growing Environmental Fate team. As the Head of E-Fate, you will provide leadership and strategic direction to a team of Study Directors, Scientists, Technicians, and Support Staff. You will oversee the scientific and operational performance of the Environmental Fate department, driving high standards of science, quality, and financial performance.

You will be responsible for advancing the departments capabilities, enhancing team performance, and ensuring regulatory compliance. As a subject matter expert, you will also support commercial growth by maintaining strong client relationships and contributing to business development.

Ideal candidates will have/are:

  • A relevant higher degree in Chemistry, Biology or related discipline

  • A recognised SME in EFate

  • Proven Leader with experience managing highperforming teams

  • Strong strategic and operational leadership skills with a track record of delivering high standards of science, quality, and financial performance.

  • Experienced in regulatory compliance and familiar with GLP standards.

  • Possess excellent communication skills and maintain & build client relationships
