Senior Specialist Biomedical Scientist - Haematology Quality Officer An exciting opportunity has arisen within the East & South East London (ESEL) Pathology Network for a Haematology Quality Officer to help deliver an exceptional Pathology service.We are seeking candidates with extensive Pathology laboratory experience, particularly in Blood Sciences, and expertise in method/equipment validation and ISO 15189 standards.Key Responsibilities:
Oversee internal and external quality assurance, ensuring UKAS accreditation compliance.Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) across Haematology.Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and trend analyses.Prepare performance and compliance reports for governance boards.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, providing training and fostering QMS engagement.Essential Qualifications:
MSc in a relevant field or IBMS Fellowship (Special Examination).Extensive experience in Blood Sciences.Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills.The role is predominantly based at our Royal London Hospital site but with expectation to attend and support other ESEL partnership sites.About Us The NHS East and South East London Pathology Partnership is an arms-length organisation providing pathology services to Barts Health NHS Trust, Homerton University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, and Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust.
