Join Our Team as a Global Logistics Specialist!

Are you ready to make a difference in the world of pharmaceuticals? We are a dynamic global organisation committed to enabling our customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. We're currently seeking a Global Logistics Specialist to join our team in Horsham on a temporary basis for six months.

This temporary position has the potential to be extended up to 12 months for the right candidate. We are seeking someone who can start immediately and adapt to a hybrid work model, mostly working remotely but occasionally visiting the Horsham site as required.

Position Details:

Contract Type: Temporary
Hourly Rate: £17.73
Contract Length: 6 months
Location: Horsham (Hybrid work model)
Working Pattern: Full Time (Monday - Friday 08:30 - 17:00)

What You'll Do:
As our Global Logistics Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Total Transportation Management (TTM) services. Your responsibilities will include:

Handling client inquiries (both internal and external) and quote requests.
Designing transportation solutions for both domestic and international destinations.
Negotiating pricing with couriers and providing spot quotes.
Creating distribution orders in our GPM system.
Reviewing and approving import/export documentation.
Proactively tracking orders to ensure timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Uphold Good Distribution practises in all tasks.
Maintain a comprehensive database related to QA/GTC approvals and client invoicing.
Manage logistics for Patheon Manufacturing API, including Import VAT reclaim.
Establish and nurture supplier and internal relationships across various departments.
Compile and manage key performance metrics on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Actively participate in meetings and contribute to process improvement activities.

Strong experience in global logistics within the pharmaceuticals sector.
Excellent supplier management and client-facing skills.
Proficiency in logistics processes, regulatory requirements, and customs clearance.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
The ability to work independently under pressure and support your teammates.
