One Scientific is proud to be part of the Tentamus group which has seven laboratories in the UK offering a wide range of food and pharmaceutical testing. Our laboratories in Avonmouth, Bristol specialise in Chemistry, Microbiology and Molecular Biology testing in food.

We are currently recruiting for a full-time driving position within our business; collecting food and water samples from our customer sites based around the UK. The Food and Water samples are to be delivered back to our laboratory in Avonmouth, Bristol. Our fleet of vehicles comprises of small to medium refrigerated white vans (Caddy/Transporter sized, manual transmission). Vehicle and fuel card provided at no cost to the driver.

Working 40 hours over 4-5 days between Monday – Friday. Start times will vary between 05:00 – 07:00am and finish times will vary between 15:00 – 17:00pm each day. Rotas are provided in advance.

Main driving routes comprise of Pembrokeshire, Somerset, Kent, Manchester, Birmingham including the Bristol area. Each shift will vary in location with varying start and finish times.

Responsibilities:

  • Arrive at each client and load your van safely, adhering to all site safety measures
  • Drive in a safe and efficient manner at all times.
  • Ensure vehicle checks are completed and recorded prior to use
  • Greet and collect from customers with a professional and positive attitude

Requirements:

  • Over 23 with a Full UK or EU driving licence
  • No IN, TT, DR or DD endorsements on your licence
  • No more than 6 points on your licence
  • Minimum of 2 years driving experience (experience can be from private use of vehicle)
  • Able to work efficiently and meet deadlines
  • Committed and flexible as the number of collections and drops vary each shift
  • Permission to work in the UK

Further Details:

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent (6-month probationary period)

Start Date: 21/07/2025

Salary: £12.21 per hour (Overtime paid at an enhanced rate)

Holiday: 28 days paid holiday (including Bank Holidays) pro rata. Plus, an additional 1 day per 1 full calendar year up to a maximum of 5 additional days.
