Title: Formulation Technologist

Location: Nottinghamshire

Salary: £30,000-£45,000

SRG is working with a leading manufacturer of personal care products who live an breath by their values and have an incredible company culture, based in Nottinghamshire. They are now looking for a Formulation technologist to lead product innovation within the suncare market. The role involves formulating new products and line extensions, wet chemistry testing, regulatory compliance on finished formulations. This role would ideally suit someone with a number of years’ experience formulating suncare/skin care products.


Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 37.5 Hours a week 25 days holiday + 8 Bank holidays

Role / Description

  • Use a variety of wet chemistry techniques to Formulate and develop new and existing SPF products
  • Develop and launch new SPF and suncare products into the market while ensuring products meet the regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers on technical projects
  • Take briefs from concept to shelf while managing the scale up process
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and technologies
  • building strong relationships with raw material suppliers, CMO’s, CRO’s and finished product suppliers

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cosmetic Science, Pharmaceutical Science, or closely related scientific discipline
  • Recent experience in formulation and R&D within an FMCG environment
  • SPF, Suncare, photoprotection formulation and knowledge
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
