Bespak are looking for a Financial Controller for the Kings Lynn site, PE30 2JJ. The salary range for this permanent, hybrid role is between £60k and £65k plus a discretionary annual bonus. Our generous benefits package includes 28 days leave plus bank holidays, 8% company pension contribution to employees 3%, onsite parking and medical / dental / health / life insurance.

Working Pattern – Mon to Fri – Work 7.5 hours + 30 mins lunch break, between 8am and 5pm (8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pm). We can be flexible and look at what works for you within the needs of the business. Hybrid working options available.

In this Financial Controller role, you will manage the company's financial operations and support the Group Financial Controller with managing the daily finance function. You'll ensure all accounting and financial reporting is compliant and maintain robust financial controls. Your responsibilities include leading the finance team, overseeing accounting tasks such as month-end reporting and tax management, and delivering consolidated financial statements. Furthermore, you will lead cash flow forecasting, ensure statutory and tax compliance, improve accounting processes, and serve as the primary contact for auditors and advisors.

As a Financial Controller, your duties will include:
• Manage the company’s day-to-day financial operations.
• Ensure compliant reporting and maintain strong financial controls.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team.
• Oversee accounting operations including reporting, treasury, tax.
• Lead the delivery of weekly cashflow forecasting.
• Ensure preparation of statutory statements and tax compliance.

Financial Controller, preferred key skills and experience:
• Professional accountancy qualification held (ACA or ACCA).
• Post-qualification experience gained within an industry setting.
• Strong financial reporting understanding (IFRS & FRS 101).
• Demonstrable experience effectively line managing team members.
• Knowledge of tax compliance regulations and schemes.
• Experience in forecasting, budgeting, and financial modelling.
• Standard DBS required following a conditional offer of employment.

We are a pharmaceutical Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) that offers development and manufacturing solutions for a variety of medications, including medical devices such as pressurized metered dose inhalers (pMDI), soft mist inhalers (SMI), dry powder inhalers (DPI), nasal sprays and medical check valves.

King’s Lynn is a market town steeped in history with an hourly direct rail link to Cambridge (1 hour) and London (2 hours). The location is close to the beautiful Norfolk coastline and is an hour’s drive to the cities of Norwich and Peterborough. The population is nearly 43,000 and offers various amenities, including supermarkets, a shopping centre, restaurants, 9 junior schools 3 high schools, 5 GP practices, a hospital and College.

This role could suit someone with experience as a Group Financial Accountant, Finance Manager, Financial controller or Audit Manager.
