Field Service Engineer – Scientific Instrumentation

Are you an experiencedField Service Engineerwith a passion forscientific and analytical instrumentation? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a stable, experienced team, working withcutting-edge laboratory equipmentacross the UK.


The Role

As a Field Service Engineer, you’ll be responsible for theinstallation, maintenance, and technical supportof advanced laboratory instruments, initially focusing onlaser diffraction and dispersion technology, with the opportunity to expand intoX-ray instrumentationafter training.

🔹Service & Maintenance– Install, repair, and maintain analytical instruments for customers inraw materials and manufacturing industries.

🔹Customer Support– Provide hands-on technical assistance and training.

🔹Travel & Autonomy– Cover aregional areawith4–5 days of travel per week, typically staying away2–3 nights per week

🔹Self-Management– Own yourschedule, travel, and customer appointments.

🔹Team Collaboration– Work closely with ahighly experienced team, backed by strong technical and administrative support.


What We’re Looking For

✔️ HNC / HND orDegree in Engineering, Physics, or Chemistry with Electronics knowledge(a must for X-ray systems).

✔️Field Service experiencewithscientific, analytical, or industrial instrumentation(biomedical alone may not be suitable).

✔️ Ability to workindependently, self-organize, and handlefrequent travel.

✔️ Willingness to travel extensively across the UK & Ireland.
