Service Engineer

Essex- 50% Hockley workshop-based, 50% International/National travel.Salary-Negotiable with ability to earn much more by travelling40 hours per week. 
The company:You will be joining a well-known, up-and-coming manufacturing company specialising in the design, build and installation of a range of machinery used in the FMCG, pharmaceutical, chemical industries and more. Due to continued growth and a strong sales pipeline, they are now seeking an experienced Mechanical/Electrical Field Service Engineer. 
The Field Service Engineer will be part of a team travelling to customer sites representing the company and carrying out the installation, commissioning, maintenance, repairs and servicing of equipment. The role will involve a mix of national and international travel, but the successful applicant will be based in the workshop near Hockley when not on customer sites.
Essential duties and responsibilities:

Mechanical Assembly and testing of machinery and systems. Mechanical assembly of sub-assemblies  Fault-finding and repairs  Carry out final inspections on machinery and systems before installation or when completed Working with relevant teams such as planning to organise parts, project timelines and installation deadlines etc.

This is just a summed-up list of responsibilities and other duties will be required.
Skills and Experience required:Experience in a similar role within a mechanical/electrical manufacturing environment Mechanical assembly and build skills.Electrical skills such as wiring would be highly advantageous. Open to travelling nationally or internationally 50% of working time.Completed engineering apprenticeship or relevant engineering qualifications such as NVQ level 3.Health & Safety Knowledge
