Field Service Engineer – National Job | Sheffield Based (UK)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Field Service Engineer to join a leading player in the Life Sciences, Nuclear Medicine, and Radiation Safety sectors. This Sheffield-based role offers a unique chance to be part of a company that has achieved prestigious accolades, including the King’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade and Investors in People Gold status.

This is a national role, with regular UK-wide travel and occasional international assignments. While the scope is broad, the position is firmly rooted in Sheffield, with the successful candidate expected to work from the Sheffield base when not on the road.

About the Job

As a Field Service Engineer, the successful applicant will join a dynamic service team providing:



Installation and operator training for scientific instruments and software

*

Preventative maintenance, system qualifications (IQ/OQ), and diagnostics

*

Technical support and troubleshooting

*

Assistance with product demonstrations and customer communications

*

Pre- and post-sales support

This Sheffield-based position would suit someone with a strong background in scientific instrumentation, particularly HPLC or Liquid Scintillation Counting, who is keen to move into or further develop a field service engineering career.

Key Requirements

Essential:

*

Industry experience with Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) or Liquid Scintillation Counting

*

Full UK driving licence

*

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

*

Willingness to travel extensively across the UK and internationally

*

Computer proficiency

*

Ability to work independently

Desirable:

*

Background in the Pharmaceutical or Nuclear Medicine industries

*

Experience working with radioactivity
