Field Based Pharmacy Account Manager

Our client is a leading distributor and wholesaler of pharmaceutical, medical and healthcare products.  
 
They are currently recruiting for an experienced Pharmacy Account Manager to join their team on a 12 month FTC covering the Bristol and surrounding area.
 
Salary:                 £28-32k per annum dependant on experience
 
Territory:            Bristol area 
 
Benefits:             Company car, laptop, mobile, mileage paid, good company benefits
 
This is a field-based role working within our client’s pharmacy chain, focusing on retail implementation, product training, therapy area training and staff development. Additionally, you will be expected to capture and transmit transfer orders to support in store activities, grow revenue and support sales development.   
 
You will be carrying out regular calls within your territory to your accounts, making around 50 pharmacy visits a month (3 per day). 
 
Working to a brief, you will aim to drive positive business change by working in partnership with pharmacy business owners and the wider team. The in-store training and development audience will include the owner, Pharmacist(s), Healthcare Advisors and Retail Counter staff.  
 
Ultimately this role is about building best in class business relationships and rapport which will drive better compliance, increase implementation which in turn will lead to increased sales.  
 
Our ideal candidate will have/be;  

Previous experience selling/detailing pharmaceutical products/brands OR previous retail training experience is ideal but not essential
Previous experience working with pharmacies with an understanding of the demands of the industry would be an advantage
Excellent brand management experience
Previous experience in managing a territory - Effective time management and journey planning capabilities as well as own diary management.
Results driven, adaptable to change, a quick learner and highly organised
Excellent interpersonal skills able to communicate effectively with pharmacy teams (decision makers and influencers) 
A strong sales process and a structured approach to influencing
Able to build rapport and develop trusted relationships with key staff
Effective presentation skills with good use of a variety of sales aids
Ability to work under pressure, set priorities and to work to deadlines.
