Facilities Engineer Technician

Job purpose
To provide general site services support to the business as directed by the facilities leader and/or engineering manager. You will be required to carry out general engineering tasks under supervision of the facilities leader and / or engineering manager whilst maintaining the highest levels of safety and compliance.
Main Responsibilities

• Contractor management. Check contractor documentation and complete permits. Supervise contractors while on site.
  
• Work with facilities leader to ensure legal compliance of facilities.
  
• Complete general maintenance and repairs of site services.
  
• Ladder inspections, manage system, inspect ladders, report and implement repairs.
  
• Plant room checks and penstock valve ppm.
  
• Complete weekly fire alarm checks and report defects.
  
• Office moves, telephones. Resource to carry out office relocations.
  
• General engineering tasks (non-safety critical) to be completed under supervision of the engineering supervisors and /or manager
  
• Other duties as required relating to site maintenance and services.
  Qualifications/experience
  
• Background in plumbing and site services essential
  
• Good stakeholder management
  
• General it literacy essential
  
• Background in a factory environment desirable.
  
• Gas safe qualification desirable
  
• Experience of working with hvac and humidification systems desirable
