Job Title:Technical Event Project Manager

Location:Remote (UK-based) with international travel

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Event Project Manager to lead the end-to-end design and delivery of exhibition booths for international congresses within the life sciences and pharmaceutical sectors. This is a client-facing role requiring strong technical knowledge, supplier management, and project leadership across multiple stakeholders and vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage full lifecycle of exhibition booth projects across Europe, from concept to onsite execution
  • Collaborate with account and project teams to meet timelines, budgets, and client objectives
  • Oversee technical production: AV, lighting, Wi-Fi, rigging, electrics, H&S compliance
  • Work with venues to understand layout, access, and regulations
  • Lead supplier briefing, sourcing, and quality control
  • Attend congresses to supervise onsite booth builds and troubleshoot issues
  • Present proposals and support RFP responses with technical input
  • Ensure high production standards aligned with design specifications

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5–7 years in exhibition booth design/build (preferably in life sciences/pharma)
  • Strong technical reasoning and understanding of AV, digital, and event technologies
  • Experience managing suppliers and coordinating logistics
  • Client-facing experience and stakeholder communication skills
  • Knowledge of health & safety protocols and international congress logistics
  • Proficiency with MS Office and general digital tools

Preferred:

  • Background in AV, sound, lighting design
  • Understanding of content creation processes, software, and timelines

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in event production/project management

Ideal Candidate:

A hands-on, solutions-oriented professional with strong project management skills, technical event production experience, and a background in delivering complex booth builds within the pharmaceutical or life sciences sector. Must be comfortable with international travel and cross-functional collaboration.
