Enclosure Assembly Technician Mechanical Build & Fitting
A respected machinery manufacturer based in Essex is seeking an enclosure assembly technician to join their growing production team. Operating from a modern headquarters and engineering facility, the company specialises in the design and assembly of automated filling and packaging lines, serving the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries globally.
This is a hands-on, workshop-based role ideal for someone with solid mechanical assembly and machining experience, good attention to detail, and a proactive approach to quality and teamwork.
Key responsibilities
Prepare and machine base materials for enclosure assemblies
Fit locks, frames, and panels to machinery lines and equipment
Carry out mechanical fitting and fault finding during assembly
Disassemble completed machinery and prepare equipment for transport to site
Support small-scale pneumatic assemblies where required
Assist with machinery installation, commissioning, and service at customer sites
Follow detailed assembly drawings to ensure high-quality workmanship
Handle materials with care, particularly during repetitive or high-precision tasks
Essential requirements
Practical engineering or mechanical assembly experience
Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings accurately
Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality work
Good problem-solving skills and a team-oriented attitude
Awareness of health and safety best practices in a workshop environment
Recognised engineering qualification or apprenticeship
