Salary: $58,600-$97,800

Universal Technical Resource Services, Inc. (UTRS) is currently seeking an Engineering Analyst to join our team! This position will be located at Picatinny Arsenal on post full-time with our Munitions Engineering Technology Center.

What will you be doing?

This position will be a key member of the team. Duties include:

  • Review data from frag sheets and metallic/other barrier tests; draw engineering conclusions about mechanisms affecting performance
  • Assemble briefs and present to product team regarding terminal results of tests; provide suggestions on paths forward/down-selection
  • Develop engineering theories on the mechanisms behind soft/hard target performance and propose new or alternate methods of modeling/predicting results
  • Develop test matrices, provide test oversight, and post-process data for terminal tests

What skills will the ideal candidate have to be successful?

This position will require the following skillsets and experience:

  • Ability to make engineering hypotheses, develop/perform experiments to test hypotheses, and draw engineering conclusions from results
  • Ability to create clear, succinct briefs on engineering analysis of data and present results to team
  • Firm understanding of material science
  • Some medical background (e.g., biomedical engineer)
  • Working knowledge of MATLAB (or similar code - e.g., Python)
  • Firm undergraduate-level knowledge of engineering-applicable mathematics (calculus, differential equations, probability & statistics)
  • Entry level or 2-5 years of professional experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills and writing skills
  • Excellent at multi-tasking and understanding priorities
  • Government or contractor experience a plus
  • Must be able to obtain a SECRET clearance
  • Must be a US citizen
