About Our Commercial Practice

Prescient has 3 core practices: Commercial, Competitor Intelligence and Medical. We support biopharma clients in making strategic decisions for their products and portfolios. Our team brings a unique blend of skills and experiences to drive successful strategies. We are expanding our customer-centric team in the US market to better serve our global and domestic clients. You will work with healthcare and pharmaceutical clients across the full product lifecycle, helping them unlock their brands' potential.

The Commercial Practice focuses on projects like brand strategy, positioning, value proposition, disease area and portfolio strategy, lifecycle management, new product planning, competitor strategy, workshops, and strategic customer research.

About The Opportunity

As an Engagement Manager, you will work on strategy consulting projects involving competitor, customer, medical, and commercial insights. Projects often include client workshops, from small brand sessions to large multi-country workshops.

You will be the key client lead on projects, managing teams of associates and analysts, and collaborating with Directors on complex projects. You will also be involved in proposal development and client/account management, with opportunities to take on leadership roles.

You will oversee project elements, ensure high-quality outputs, conduct stakeholder interviews, facilitate workshops, and support strategic development like brand plans and positioning tools.

Senior consultants also have line management and internal initiative roles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage client engagements, including design, planning, and reporting.
  • Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and pursue new clients.
  • Ensure excellent client service through collaboration.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and mentor junior staff.
  • Mentor team members and support their development, focusing on impactful insights.

Required Experience and Skills

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in life sciences, psychology, business, marketing, etc.
  • Over five years of professional experience, including at least three in consulting, strategy, or brand strategy.
  • Strong business development skills.
  • Excellent project and account management skills.
  • Exceptional strategic, analytical, and conceptual thinking skills.
