Salary: Up to £37,407.03 per annum depending on experience

The job role
An excellent opportunity has come up at our Herreschoff Kiln site, which produces soft calcined kaolin which is produced using continuous multiple hearth calciner technology. This site produces two products - Polestar 200P and Polestar 200R serving high value Pharmaceutical Rubber, Polymers, Paints and Plastic Markets.
You will be responsible for providing electrical, instrumentation, control and automation knowledge and support to maximise plant and equipment availability via planned, scheduled routine and reactive maintenance, to maintain the Plant to the highest possible standard
The main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Optimise current equipment, identify potential improvements and support/lead the implementation.
  • Carry out repairs and maintenance whilst working safely
  • Provide engineering support for other maintenance & installation activities
  • Ensure the preventative maintenance plan is carried out at the site on time in full
  • Ensure all work areas are clean and free from hazards
  • Ability to calibrate and diagnose faults on instrumentation systems

    You will:
  • Have an Advanced Modern Apprenticeship NVQ & BTec Level 3, (or equivalent) in Electrical Maintenance Engineering
  • Have experience of industrial electrical, control and instrumentation systems (valves, sensors, probes, and control circuits)
  • Have proven experience of fault finding, diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Have a background of working within a chemical or oil refinery industry or heavy production / manufacturing/ process environment
  • Have good level of IT skills with previous experience of working on a Computerised Maintenance Management System
  • Legally be able to drive in the UK
