Job Opportunity: Electrical Design Engineer

We have a fantastic opportunity to join a well–established, family–run business specialising in the design, manufacture, and installation of Powder Handling Machinery. Operating across diverse sectors such as food processing, pharmaceuticals, automotive, and nuclear, this role is based in a clean, compact workshop with a collaborative and friendly culture.

This role is ideal for a detail–oriented electrical professional with experience in panel design and instrumentation. The position would suit a candidate with strong customer service skills, a proactive approach, and a desire to work in a supportive, team–focused environment. If you thrive on variety and innovation, this could be the perfect opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Produce electrical drawings using e–plan, including panel layouts, bills of materials, and rating/legend plates.
  2. Create single–line diagrams with cable identifiers to support competitive contractor quotations.
  3. Attend site meetings alongside project engineers to engage with customers and understand requirements.
  4. Specify electrical instrumentation, such as flow sensors and level probes, ensuring adherence to customer standards.
  5. Design pneumatic circuits and compile bills of materials for all pneumatic components.

In return, you'll receive a salary up to 42k, 25 days holiday (increasing to 27 days with service), a company bonus, and other perks and benefits.
