Description:

We are currently recruiting an Electrical Design Engineer to join our MEP team. The successful candidate will have opportunities to work on high-profile projects across sectors such as life sciences, industrial, commercial, pharmaceutical, residential and many more.

This position is located in our head office in Dublin and involves travel to various projects across Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and specification of electrical engineering solutions for buildings, to current regulations and design standards.

  • Working with the MEP team and project design team to define project requirements and develop technical solutions.

  • Pre-construction engineering activities including coordination of services and production of information (tender drawings, specifications and equipment details).

  • Monitoring and management of projects during construction including site inspections, technical submittals and RFI’s.

  • Assisting M&E staff in all work relating to the safe and timely completion of projects

  • Working with the team to Inspect all installation works against the agreed level of the approved quality plan

  • Attend project meetings

    Required Skills:

  • Third-level Electrical or Trade/Building Services Engineering

  • 3+ years experience in a similar role

  • Experience in designing and specifying Electrical / building services systems

  • Strong technical ability and good understanding of current engineering standards

  • Previous Main Contractor experience is preferred, ideally projects experience preferable

  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team

  • Excellent level of attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent IT skills – knowledge of Revit/BIM, Microsoft.
