Are you looking for a team that cares about you?

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems and components for a variety of machine products. You will be involved in all stages of the equipment lifecycle, from conceptualization and design to testing, installation, and support.

Work will involve designing and specifying new control systems, updating existing systems with new hardware and software, developing technical documentation, and continuously optimizing the functionality, performance, and safety of these machines.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with mechanical and other engineers to design and build machines serving the solid-dose industry.
  • Create detailed Electrical Bills of Materials (BOMs) for projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance with specifications.
  • Develop comprehensive Electrical Schematics using AutoCAD Electrical 2024 to specify the electrical systems and components used in various projects.
  • Create Allen-Bradley PLC/HMI software to control and monitor electrical systems efficiently, adhering to project requirements and industry standards.
  • Design control panels, considering factors such as size and layout, wiring, and component selection to optimize functionality, safety, and cost.
  • Conduct testing of electrical systems and components by creating plans and analyzing results for compliance and design enhancements.
  • Ensure reliability, safety, and performance of electrical products through inspections, audits, and troubleshooting. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide support to the Engineering Manager by assisting with project coordination, troubleshooting technical issues, and contributing to team meetings and discussions.
  • Assist in the generation of test plans, validation protocols, and qualification documentation.
  • Provide technical information and support to the equipment service & support team, equipping them to understand and troubleshoot the PLC/HMI based hardware and software.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Electrical Engineering Technology (BSEET) or equivalent years of experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering or related role.
  • Experience in Allen-Bradley SLC500, Logix5000, Studio5000 all versions for PLC.
  • Experience in Allen-Bradley FactoryTalk View ME all versions for HMI.
  • Experience in Allen-Bradley VFD, Kinetics Servo Drives, and AC/DC Motors.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of focus and drive in executing tasks and achieving project objectives.
  • Exhibit consistent high professionalism.
  • Travel will be required occasionally for Customer SAT, Equipment Calibration, and Upgrades.

Pay:$90,000 - $110,000 based on education, experience, and skills.
