Director / Senior Director, Business Development - Drug Product Location: UK HOME BASED / REMOTEPharmaron are looking to add a Business Development Director / Senior Director to support our growing Drug Product Development and our co-located and integrated API and product services offering. Within this role, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining profitable business relations with partners, promoting Pharmaron as the CDMO of choice to prospective clients and enhancing on-going business relationships.At Pharmaron we offer:

Key roles and responsibilities:Identify, cultivate, manage, and maintain professional relationships with clients that match the segment profile of target Pharmaron customers. Identify and lead cultivation of Product development opportunities, and integrated API/Product opportunities, by building client confidence in Pharmaron’s capabilities and services. Partner with Site operations and project management teams to facilitate timely generation and delivery of accurate project proposals.  Support the proposal negotiation process by facilitating interactions between operations and the client and providing the big picture perspective on the total client opportunity. Liaise with peer Business Development personnel to effectively co-ordinate and manage integrated services opportunities.  Maintain strong working knowledge/experience of OSD product development requirements and Pharmaron’s global capabilities in this area. Identify market trends on new technology opportunities to support future capability expansion initiatives. Identify and access sources of information that provide excellent market intelligence of the developments within the pharmaceutical industry and share that information internally to help identify new business opportunities Be familiar with Pharmaron capabilities at a broad level so that wider and more meaningful conversations can be held with clients and prospective clients, which could also lead to further attractive commercial arrangements. Be familiar with areas of work and focus undertaken by other Business Development personnel such that “cross selling” opportunities can be captured for the business. Actively contribute and influence the development of a compelling Value Proposition that attracts clients to engage Pharmaron. Actively and professionally promote the company, positioning it as a reputable partner to deliver high quality solutions for the client and convert enquiries of interest into profitable contracts of work. Support the broader Business Development team through contribution on special projects as and when required.Requirements:BSc in Pharmaceutics, Chemistry or related Life Science from reputable university Multi-year experience in a business development role within the Drug Product Development sector is essential Technically creditable with Drug Product Development – Oral Solid Dose (OSD)  Previous experience in a scientific role in a life science organisation would be advantageous Advanced commercial acumen In depth knowledge of the CDMO and Pharmaceutical market and environment Technical understanding and knowledge of drug product development particularly early phase development Strong presentation skills understanding message communication for specific audiences Financial, costing and numerical skills Ability to influence and negotiate successfully Customer focused with the ability to build strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to work within a team effectively  Result oriented and highly self-motivated showing resilience and resourcefulness  Flexible and adaptable mindset, with the ability to respond to change quickly and effectively Our Company: “We are a dynamic, fast-growing company, with an enviable reputation for leading edge science, offering contract research services to some of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies, solving what were believed to be unsolvable scientific challenges”.We believe in our ability to relentlessly push forward the boundaries of scientific excellence, delivering solutions for our clients, always operating ethically and with integrity. The research building has more than 5,000m2 of premier R&D space and houses an established Process Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry and Drug Discovery teams. In addition, a Formulation Development team was also recently established. The Hoddesdon site has state-of-the-art Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standard facilities for the development of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API), Formulation Development (FD) and Process Chemistry (PC).
