How will you make an impact:

The Director Marketing will lead a global team of marketing professionals responsible for demand generation across the High Performance Chromatography Solutions (HPCS) business of the Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Division (CMD). As a senior member of the business leadership team this role will work closely with the functional leaders within HPCS and the other businesses of CMD to define and implement the near and long-term marketing strategy for the HPLC consumables and instruments.

This role will be fully remote (work from home) based in a variety of locations in Europe. Regular international travel will be required (c.25% of working time) including overnight stays.

What will you do

  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Implement the global go-to-market strategy in partnership with commercial and segment leaders to support growth initiatives
  • Customer Insights: Leverage customer feedback and voice of sales to advise roadmaps application development and marketing strategies
  • Campaign Development: Deploy over-arching marketing campaigns to position workflow solutions to target customer segments to accelerate product adoption
  • Product Launch Execution: Collaborate with vertical marketing and product management to develop and implement high impact launch plans for new products and workflow solutions
  • Demand Generation: Drive demand for consumables and instrument portfolios maximising all applicable channels (e.g. Direct Fisher Scientific eCommerce)
  • Digital Marketing: Leverage digital solutions (e.g. SEM/SEO social agentic AI) to accelerate run-rate growth
  • Commercial Enablement: Partner with regional marketing and commercial operations to support channel activation bolster product proficiency and increase commercial engagement
  • People Leadership: Build and lead a successful global marketing and applications team encouraging professional development and continuous learning

How will you get here:

Education

  • Bachelors degree in science or business; advanced degree preferred

Experience

  • 10 years marketing experience in the scientific industry with 5 years of leading marketing teams
  • Proven success in marketing strategy digital marketing and market development ideally combining consumables and instruments
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to collaborate with a diverse set of partners. Agility to operate optimally in a global highly matrixed environment with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Customer Focus: Understand and address customer needs to enable their success
  • Strategic Mentality: Develop and deploy strategy to drive both near and long-term business growth
  • Outstanding Execution: Accountable to deliver on commitments and overcome challenges in a complex business environment
  • Role Model Leadership: Build and develop impactful teams while encouraging a culture of innovation and involvement. Drive cross-functional alignment of priorities and resources to deliver business outcomes
  • Ability to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally
