We are hiring aDirector, Ammonia-Urea Market Analysis,to lead our global research in ammonia, urea, and emerging hydrogen markets. This is a strategic leadership role combiningmarket analysis,team management, andclient consulting.

Reporting into the VP, Research and Analysis, you’ll lead our ammonia-urea market forecasts, collaborate across our Syngas and Methanol teams, and represent CMA as a subject matter expert at industry events and with clients.

Chemical Market Analytics (CMA), a Dow Jones business, delivers essential intelligence to the global chemicals sector. We help clients make high-impact decisions through market data, forecasting, consulting, and events. Our coverage spans over 200 core chemicals, with a growing focus on the clean energy transition.

You Will

  • Market Forecasting: Build and maintain global supply-demand and econometric models for ammonia and urea markets.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor analysts in the ammonia-urea and hydrogen teams, supporting skills development and team collaboration.
  • Client Consulting: Lead and deliver consulting projects, partnering with our Business Consulting team on ammonia-urea client work.
  • Industry Engagement: Represent CMA at client meetings and industry events. Share insights through written reports and presentations.
  • Business Growth: Support commercial teams in expanding our client base. Drive visibility and engagement across the ammonia and hydrogen sectors.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with the Methanol team and other internal experts to provide integrated market perspectives.

You Have

  • Proven experience in the chemical or fertiliser industry
  • Knowledge of hydrogen markets is a plus
  • Strong skills in market analysis , forecasting , and supply-demand modelling
  • Experience managing and developing teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A proactive, consultative approach with clients and stakeholders
  • A bachelor’s degree in chemistry , chemical engineering , economics , or a related field
