Overview

The Director of New Product Commercialization for Zilebesiran plays a pivotal role in supporting all commercial activities related to the successful launch of Zilebesiran, Alnylam's flagship hypertension program. With little innovation in hypertension management for decades, Zilebesiran has the potential to reshape treatment paradigms. This role is central to defining market introduction strategies, is a key member of the Zilebesiran Early Commercial & Medical Strategy Team, and reports to the Global Commercial Lead.
This position is onsite/hybrid, primarily located in Cambridge, MA.
Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with the Early Commercial & Medical Strategy Team to analyze and communicate insights on hypertension treatment landscape, patient needs, and competitive dynamics across major markets (US, EU, Japan).
Support development and execution of strategies to maximize Zilebesiran's market potential, including lifecycle management and commercialization plans for short, medium, and long-term horizons.
Liaise with internal and external experts to identify opportunities and risks, translating scientific insights into actionable strategies.
Work closely with R&D, finance, and regional stakeholders to optimize planning, forecasting, and prioritization.
Lead commercialization functions within the team, integrating insights from global and regional stakeholders.
Maintain high-level competitive intelligence within the cardiovascular market.
Qualifications

BA/BS required; business degree preferred, especially with strategy/consulting experience.
10+ years in biopharmaceuticals or related fields, with experience in marketing, strategic planning, or product management, including global/international team responsibilities.
Exceptional communication skills; ability to articulate vision and motivate teams.
Collaborative, data-driven decision-maker.
Experience in cardiovascular or large disease areas preferred.
Experience working with global partners or alliances.
Proven influence in cross-functional settings and organizational change management.
