About this role

TFS HealthScience is a leading global mid-size Contract Research Organization (CRO) that partners with biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies throughout their entire clinical development journey. Our expertise includes full service capabilities, resourcing and Functional Service (FSP) solutions.

The Director Clinical Operations is responsible for providing oversight to Associate Directors and Clinical Operations Teams ensuring management support in meeting operational and financial deliverables according to customer requirements and contractual obligations.

This is a hybrid role, with 3 days per weekon-site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Line management of assigned staff within Clinical Operations.
  • Participate in resource planning and staff allocation discussions to ensure that project teams are appropriately resourced during all phases of a project
  • Participate in proposal and budget development for new business opportunities
  • Provide technical expertise and Clinical Monitoring support to assigned staff
  • Ensure staff are appropriately qualified and trained by providing input to training plans, coaching and mentoring of assigned staff and assisting in the delivery of training

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in life science or nursing; or equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years of industry experience within clinical research, including at least 5 years on-site monitoring
  • Thorough knowledge of GCP/ICH Guidelines and other applicable regulatory requirements
  • Project management experience
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and line manage staff in a international environment
