What we're looking for
As the Digital Marketing Analyst, you will drive revenue growth through strategic analysis, content optimisation, and performance reporting. This role combines technical expertise in SEO, AI discoverability, and business intelligence with analytical skills to optimise our digital marketing efforts across all channels.
The role is based in Edinburgh, with hybrid working available (minimum of 3 days in the office).
You'll be responsible for:
Manage and optimise web content to improve search engine rankings and AI discoverability across platforms
Conduct keyword research and implement SEO best practices to increase organic traffic
Monitor traffic sources and track backlinks to identify opportunities for growth
Optimise content for AI-powered search engines and voice search technologies
Collaborate with in-house and agency content writers to ensure all digital assets are optimised for maximum visibility
Implement technical SEO improvements and coordinate with the in-house tech team as needed
Analyse website user behaviour and recommend changes to website navigation, landing pages, and UX to improve conversion rates for orders and catalogue requests
Analyse performance across all digital marketing channels, including paid search, social media, email, and organic search
Identify growth opportunities and optimisation strategies for each marketing channel
Conduct A/B testing and multivariate testing to improve campaign performance
Track customer journey and attribution across multiple touchpoints
Provide actionable insights to drive customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth
Monitor competitor activities and industry trends to inform strategic decisions
Business Intelligence & Reporting
Design, build and maintain BI dashboard using tools such as Google Analytics and Looker Studio
Create automated reporting systems to track campaign performance against established KPIs and targets
Develop historical performance benchmarks and trend analysis reports
Prepare executive-level reports and presentations on marketing performance and ROI
Data Analysis & Strategic Insights
Use Google Analytics, GA4, Tag Manager and MailChimp to monitor campaign and site performance, and extract meaningful insights
Identify patterns, trends, and opportunities in marketing data to inform strategic decisions
Develop predictive models to forecast campaign performance and budget allocation
Make data-led recommendations for improvement to acquisition and retention marketing campaigns, and channel strategy
Experience & Skills required:
4+ years' experience in a digital marketing, performance marketing or marketing analytics role in a growth e-commerce business
Advanced Google Tag Manager implementation, including custom events, triggers, and variables for e-commerce tracking
Solid working knowledge of GA4, particularly enhanced e-commerce reporting and customer audience creation, and SEO tools
Understanding of AI’s impact on search
Experience with programmatic SEO to generate landing pages
Experience with server-side tracking and first-party data strategies to improve data accuracy and maintain security and privacy compliance
Experience with building and maintaining BI dashboards such as Looker Studio
Technical depth to work with the in-house Tech team to implement the recommendations from the Digital Agency
Critical thinking skills, highly numerate, and creative thinking to support problem-solving
Good communication skills and ability to work independently and cross-functionally
Organised with strong attention to detail

Salary up to £40,000 (depending on experience)
6% company pension contribution(you contribute 5%) to help you plan for your future.
