We're currently recruiting for a Device Scientists to join our team on a full time basis in Runcorn, Abbots Park (permanent position).

Teva'sCombination Product & Device (CPD) R&Dteam, based in Abbots Park, Runcorn, develops needle-based injection devices for delivery of Teva's Small Molecule medications. Our broad portfolio of both generic and specialty medicines covers a variety of device technologies, Pre-Filled Syringes (PFS), pen injectors and autoinjectors, for the treatment of a wide range of diseases, including anaphylaxis, migraine and diabetes.

There are three product technology clusters within CPD Abbots Park, each broadly focused (although not exclusively) on a particular subset of injection devices:
Cartridges & Pen Injectors
Pre-filled Syringe & Safety Systems (PFS)
Autoinjectors (AI)
A Day In The Life Of A Device Scientist

You'll be providing laboratory and project support for the development of new and existing products within the Combination Product and Device R&D Team.

This role will consist of performing and documenting laboratory work and ensuring project and shelf-life reporting milestones are achieved within agreed timescales and in compliance with cGxP, HSE and Regulatory requirements.

You'll be supporting sample management, logistics and calibration/service of equipment within the CPD Abbots Park Laboratory, with contribution to continuous improvement of lab processes.

Key Results Areas
Planning and performing laboratory tests in order to produce reliable and precise data to support scientific investigations;
To carry out all work activities in compliance with Standard Operating Procedures and regulatory guidelines
Sourcing, maintaining and operating standard laboratory equipment, for example tensile / torsional force tester, Microscopes, Balances, Optical / Probe CMM.
Recording and interpreting results to present to senior colleagues;
Using computers and performing mathematical calculations for the preparation of graphs/tabulated results/ statistical analysis.
Keeping up to date with technical developments, especially those which can save time and improve reliability;
Conducting searches on identified topics relevant to the research;
Following and ensuring strict safety procedures and safety checks.
Creating, maintaining and developing laboratory documentation and processes.
Supporting multiple projects across various device platforms.
Who We Are Looking For

Do you have?
Experience in Medical Device / Pharmaceutical Industry laboratory environment or other regulated industry (nice to have). We are also open to consider motivated and bright recent university graduates.
Degree qualified in a relevant discipline would be desirable but by no means essential
Ability to analyse and interpret data, compile reports and summarise the conclusion of results.
Knowledge of cGMP/GLP (nice to have)
Experience/Knowledge of laboratory equipment management/calibration requirements
Knowledge of Statistical Techniques, such as t-tests, Gauge R&R, etc
Attention to detail
The ability to complete tasks on time with minimal supervision.
Experience in leading and driving a task / package of work to completion
An adaptable approach with high work standards and attention to detail.
Good communication skills with the want to work as part of the wider team.
Experience in the use of the Microsoft Office software package (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
