Position: Development Engineer
Location: Gloucester
Job Type: Permanent / Onsite

My client a globally recognised manufacturing business are on the hunt for a strong Development Engineer!

Role and Responsibilities –
In this role you will be responsible and have the ability to design, develop and implement new or existing products from concept to production. This means having the experience of going through the full product life cycle and having delivered this for customers at the expected level.

Other responsibilities include:

Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, in particular ISO13485 throughout the product development process.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including regulatory, clinical, marketing, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure product specifications and performance criteria are met.
Prepare and present engineering reports, documentation, and presentations to relevant stakeholders
Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation.
Experience or Qualifications –

Degree or HND/HNC qualified in mechanical or biomedical engineering
Proven track record of successfully leading medical device development projects from concept to launch.
Knowledge and understanding of Six Sigma principles to drive CI and process capability
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and other relevant engineering tools.
Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485). (Desirable)
