OCDEM, Churchill Hospital, Oxford, OX3 7LELocation: OCDEM – Churchill Hospital siteContract type: Fixed-Term until 30th April 2026Hours: Full-time (on site working)A unique and exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly motivated scientist who would be appointed as Deputy Laboratory Manager of the DRWF Human Islet Isolation Facility.The Islet Isolation Facility operates as part of the NHS commissioned UK Nationwide Human Islet Isolation programme, producing GMP grade human islets for transplantation, under regulation of the Human Tissue Authority. In addition to taking part in human pancreatic islet isolation and transplantation, the successful candidate will assist in the day-to-day management of the HTA Licensed Human Islet Isolation Facility, which is comprised of a series of specialist, purpose-built, clean room suites operating to GMP standards. This post will be funded by the Diabetes Research and Wellness Foundation (DRWF) and is based in the Oxford Centre for Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Metabolism (OCDEM), at the Churchill Hospital.
