Job Title: Portfolio Lead Pharmacist – Medicines Value

Job Summary The NHS Greater Manchester Integrated Care is undergoing an exciting transformation with the review and redesign of its Medicines Optimisation function. As a result, we are introducing new roles to drive this change, including the pivotal position of Portfolio Lead Pharmacist – Medicines Value. This role offers a unique opportunity to take on a leadership position, playing an instrumental role in shaping and implementing our new operating model within the Medicines Optimisation function.
Main Duties of the Job As the Portfolio Lead Pharmacist – Medicines Value, you will be integral to the NHS GM’s mission to achieve the four core purposes of the Integrated Care System (ICS):
Improve Population Health Outcomes : Enhance healthcare outcomes for the local population through innovative medicines management strategies.
Address Inequalities : Tackle disparities in health outcomes, patient experience, and access to services.
Enhance Productivity and Value for Money : Drive initiatives that optimize resources and deliver value for the NHS.
Support Broader Social and Economic Development : Contribute to the wider goals of social and economic development through effective medicines management.
You will also be a key member of the pharmacy and medicines optimisation senior leadership team, tasked with developing and executing a shared strategy and operational plan that aligns with national, regional, and local priorities. Your leadership will be critical in ensuring that these strategies deliver maximum value and outcomes for patients, the community, and the NHS.

Together, these partnerships work to plan and deliver coordinated services that improve health and wellbeing across communities.
