What Are We Looking For?DPS Group is looking to recruit a Control Systems Technician to join the team in Glenrothes on a permanent basis. You’ll be responsible for assisting with the installation, testing and maintenance of control systems, working closely with the Control Systems Engineers and other team members to ensure that projects are completed to the required quality standards, on time and within budget.Some of Your Key Duties Include: * Assembling and wiring of control panels, following schematics and wiring diagrams. * Installing sensors, actuators, and network communication devices. * Configuring control system hardware and software, including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and VFDs. * Performing routing maintenance on control systems and sensors, replacing worn-out parts as required. * Troubleshoot issues using diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and resolve problems. * Maintain wiring diagrams, schematics, and project documentation.What Do You Need? * Minimum of a Level 3 vocational qualification in electrical or electronic engineering. * Experience of working with automation and control technologies (PLC, HMI, SCADA, VFD), ideally within food and beverage automation and process control. * Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems. * Valid driving licence and ability to travel as required. * Excellent problem solving and communication skills.DPS – Who Are We?We solve manufacturing challenges through the intelligent use of technology.DPS Group is one of the UK’s leading integrated electrical, instrumental & control and compliance providers.
