We are currently seeking experienced Automation Engineers to manage digital manufacturing and automation projects. Applicants with Siemens, Rockwell, and AVEVA (Wonderware) experience


This is a full-time staff position based in our office, with an excellent salary and benefits package.


Responsibilities/ Duties

  • Working with a team of digital manufacturing/automation engineers delivering projects to customer sites.
  • Developing engineering design documents, technical evaluations, and test plans.
  • Providing design and approval for hardware, software, and controls for automated and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
  • Working closely with customers to identify areas for improvement through the use of automation and data analytics technology.
  • Providing technical and automation operational support to Engineering, Manufacturing, Validation and Facilities departments.
  • Co-ordinating and supporting project commissioning activities.
  • Mentoring and training of junior engineers.
  • Researching new technologies and trends in Industrial Automation and liaising with senior management on digital manufacturing/automation business strategy.


Qualifications/ Skills/ Experience

  • Experienced digital manufacturing/automation engineer with 3+ years’ experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Instrumentation/ Information Systems or related field.
  • PLC Programming Experience: Allen-Bradley PLCs / Siemens TIA Portal.
  • HMI / SCADA Experience: Siemens / Rockwell/ AVEVA / Schneider.
  • Experience with control networks and communications systems (Profibus, Modbus, DeviceNet).
  • Knowledge of process instrumentation and wiring would be desirable.
  • Experience working with validated Digital Manufacturing/Automation systems in the Pharmaceutical or Food Beverage manufacturing environment.
