Temporary – to – permanent opportunity

£14.38 per hour

40 hours p/week

Monday - Friday

Winsearch UK is currently working with a multi-award-winning company specialising in the manufacture, installation & maintenance of high quality electrical switchgear and energy reduction solutions throughout the UK and overseas since 2002. The company works with many household names in retail and hospitality, it is also strong within the food, chemical and general manufacturing sectors delivering energy saving systems and improving utility on sites throughout the UK.

Due to exponential growth, our client is looking for experienced Control Panel Wiring Technicians to be part of their assembly team.

Control Panel Wiring Technician

The Role:

The role requires an electrical panel builder with a proven track record of at least 5 years’ experience. The role will include the wire and assembly of electrical switchgear and electrical panels.

At times there may be an opportunity to assist with repairs or installations both locally and throughout the UK.

Key Skills include:

Assembly of electro-mechanical systems to a high standard
Wiring and assembly of control panels and switchgear
Cable crimping, wire cutting and preparation.
An ability to identify, handle & process sometimes heavy electrical components
An ability to fully understand wiring diagrams and single line drawings
The ability to read & implement assembly instructions from technical documents
Marking out panels and cut/drill steelwork using power tools
Keeping good care of company assets, tools and plant etc

Qualifications and Requirements

MUST have at least 5 years relevant experience
Cable cutting, crimping and preparation
Electromechanical assembly
Formal electro technical qualification /apprenticeship desired although not essential.
The ability to complete tasks safely and accurately to agreed timescales.
Ability to understand single line diagrams and wiring diagrams
Good practical skills around hand tools and power tools
An understanding of safe practice & health and safety
Maintain a good housekeeping policy
Good written and verbal communication skills to complete paperwork and understand tasks
To work well independently and as part of a team
Working Hours:

Monday 8am – 16:15pm
Tuesday 8am – 16:15pm
Wednesday 8am – 16:15pm
Thursday 8am – 16:15pm
Friday 8am – 15:00pm
