This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Life Sciences Consultant/Senior Consultant looking to make the next Decisive step to progress their career, where you will be given the opportunity to grow and develop in our fast-paced consulting team.

As a Consultant/Senior Consultant at Decisive, you will work directly with clients, managing and coaching junior members of the team, right the way through from ideation and methodologies to implementation. You’ll suggest ideas, develop new methods, and deliver key activities, all with the core intent of delighting our clients and bringing rebel thinking to life.

Working collaboratively across multiple accounts and project types, reacting quickly to situations as they arise, ensuring clear communication, providing leadership on key project management elements, directing the project management team and wider expert teams in meeting day-to-day tactical objectives, budget management, and timelines. With the support of other experienced team members, the Consultant leads theproject management of assigned projects to ensure successful execution and outcome.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leading and devising specific Market Access and Commercial Strategy projects
  • You will develop your deliverables to a high quality and work in a cross-functional team which may include commercial strategy, market access, and medical experts and associates to support the delivery and execution of the overall project
  • Ensure effective project management from conception through to completion (end-to-end project management), leading multiple projects simultaneously and smoothly
  • Identifying innovative approaches to help clients navigate their market access and commercial strategy challenges and bringing an experienced rebel perspective to thinking and approach
  • Improving existing and identifying new client service offerings
  • Using a wide range of research methodologies to develop insight into key areas and understand markets and analogues
  • Engagements will involve working with clients to resolve their most pressing challenges in portfolio/disease commercial positioning; product launches and cross-functional alignment; market access, pricing, and reimbursement
  • Leading the design and conduct of secondary research reports, advisory boards, training programmes and primary research interviews with a variety of respondent types (e.g., Payers, Key Opinion Leaders, Budget Holders, Patients, Physicians, Clients, etc.)
  • Identifying and contributing to new business development, pitches, project deliverables, and thought leadership as required to position capabilities with prospects to continuously grow the consulting business
  • Cost projects, develop proposals, and write statements of work
  • Build expertise across the suite of Decisive offerings and contribute to roadmaps for product enhancement
  • Developing and maintaining contacts and experts across our intelligent network, identifying ways of resourcing specific client requirements where these lie outside the capability and/or capacity of our existing network
  • Managing and supporting members of the Decisive team to improve individual and team performance, providing mentorship and coaching to junior team members
  • Leading specific internal projects to develop and strengthen our infrastructure; identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in the way that we work

SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a scientific, medical, or related field. Strong scientific background preferred.
  • Background: A mix of commercial and pharmaceutical interests and education, and consulting experience.
  • Ability to support the execution of multiple complex projects at once within a diverse remote team environment, to tight deadlines.
  • Adaptability in Environments: Demonstrate the ability to thrive in complex, fast-moving, and environments. Remain flexible and adaptable, quickly adjusting to changing priorities and effectively navigating through challenges to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Language Proficiency: Possess exceptional fluency in English, both spoken and written, native or at a strong business-standard level (CEFR C1/C2).
  • Communicate effectively and articulately in various professional contexts, demonstrating excellent grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension skills.
  • Rebel Thinking: Demonstrate a creative and innovative mindset, challenging conventional norms and thinking outside the box. Embrace a proactive and solution-oriented approach to overcome market access barriers and differentiate our client’s products in the highly competitive healthcare landscape.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience working with reference management software and statistical analysis tools.
