Aboutthe role:
As a Consultant in diabetes at Stockport NHSFoundation Trust, you will be responsible for developing the DiabetesTechnologies Service and enhancing the quality of Antenatal Diabetes care.Additionally, you will lead the Lipid Service with support from a Biochemistand a Specialist Pharmacist.
Main duties of the job
Some duties may involve:
Provide specialist in reach to the Acute Medical Unit (ACU) and see diabetes and endocrinology in patient referrals.
Provide diabetes advice and clinical care to the diabetes antenatal service.
Mentor and supervise the training of junior medical staff on the team in conjunction with the other consultant physicians in the department.

This position based at the Stockport NHS Foundation Trust in the Northof England. Aboutyou:
Toapply for this position, you will have:
Primary medicalqualification MBChB or equivalent.
Membership of the RoyalCollege of Physicians (MRCP).
Relevant certificate ofcompletion of training (CCT) in General Internal Medicine, Diabetes andEndocrinology, or equivalent.
A broad training whichdemonstrates appropriate experience in and a positive attitude towards Diabetesand Endocrinology. Ability to form good professional relationships with all departments andwork as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Authorisation to live andwork in the UK.
Experience of supervisionof junior medical staff and relevant staff in other disciplines staff.
A full, clean drivinglicence.

Person Specification
Qualifications
Essential
Primary medical qualification MBChB or equivalent. Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP). OET/IELTS must be Cleared or Booked.
Desirable
Relevant certificate of completion of training (CCT) in General Internal Medicine, Diabetes and Endocrinology, or equivalent. GMC Registered with a license to practice.
Experience
Essential
A broad training which demonstrates appropriate experience in and a positive attitude towards Diabetes and Endocrinology. Ability to form good professional relationships with all departments and work as part of a multidisciplinary team
Desirable
