Electrical Construction Supervisor

Are you an experienced Electrical Construction Supervisor looking for your next challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team at a leading facility in Barnard Castle. This role involves overseeing and coordinating construction activities related to EPCM projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.


Location:Barnard Castle

Contract Type:1 year minimum- Likely extensions


Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise construction electrical projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on all EC&I installations.
  • Monitor project progress and conduct assessments to ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Develop and review engineering designs, specifications, and documentation.
  • Identify and mitigate risks to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Foster a culture of safety, excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Document all construction activities, including daily reports, inspection records, change orders, and as-built drawings.
  • Enforce safety policies, procedures, and regulations on-site to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries.
  • Implement quality control measures to ensure construction work meets industry standards and client requirements.


Requirements:

  • 17th/18th edition wiring regulations.
  • Trade-related city and guilds qualification - ECS gold card (or equivalent).
  • Recognized professional certification in construction site supervision - SSSTS (minimum), ideally SMSTS.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in CES field supervision on complex industrial projects, ideally in the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Proficient in MS Office.


Desirable:

  • Bachelor’s degree/HND/HNC in electrical engineering.
  • TWS (temporary works supervisor) certification.
