Job: Construction / Site Manager (E&I)

Location: Thurrock, Essex, United Kingdom

Salary and Benefits

  • £450 / day

  • £25 / day per diem

  • Accommodation provided

  • 0.45p mile weekly

  • 4 x 10-hour days Mon – Thu

  • 5-hour day Friday

    About the Role

    We’re looking for an experienced Construction/Site Manager (E&I) to oversee site execution, safety, and project delivery within the Power Generation, Oil & Gas, or Pharmaceutical industries. If you have a strong leadership background and expertise in Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I), we want to hear from you!

    Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee safe and efficient project execution on-site

  • Develop and implement HSE & Quality Plans, RAMS, and ITPs

  • Manage Construction, HSEQ, Commercial, and Project Controls functions

  • Track and report progress, ensuring compliance with project scope & schedule

  • Lead procurement, tender evaluations, and subcontractor management

  • Coordinate shutdown, interface management, and commissioning activities

  • Ensure workforce planning, supervision, and resource deployment

  • Attend client/site meetings and manage reporting & documentation

    What We’re Looking For

  • Electrical Trade background preferred

  • 10+ years of Construction Management experience in Power, Oil & Gas, or Pharmaceuticals

  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and contract negotiation skills

  • Proven experience enforcing safety legislation & corporate procedures

  • Ability to manage multiple disciplines, vendors, and subcontractors

  • Hands-on experience with procurement, planning, and cost control

  • Excellent communication & decision-making skills

  • Willingness to work extended hours on-site as required
