Construction Manager | Major Capital Projects

ENG Bauen has been selected to collaborate with the global leadership of a renowned pharmaceutical company to enhance and expand its construction management capabilities across 14 countries, including three key locations in the UK.

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join the client’s global project delivery team, where you will be recognized as a key specialist supporting several large CAPEX projects. This role is ideal for a Construction Manager with a strong foundation in managing large-scale capital projects across sectors such as Oil & Gas, Chemical, Nuclear, and Pharmaceuticals.

The role requires coordinating with site teams to organize, plan, motivate, and direct the construction effort, ensuring all activities are carried out efficiently and in line with project goals.

You will work closely with the Global Construction Director and other senior leaders within the project execution team. This is an excellent opportunity for a freelance consultant to take on large-scale capital projects on a global scale.

This senior position comes with the challenge of working in a highly regulated environment on live sites, where you must ensure minimal disruption while delivering projects safely and on time. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in regulated environments and will serve as the primary point of contact for the global project teams on-site, addressing all construction-related matters.

This role is offered on a long-term contract, primarily based in the UK, with hybrid working arrangements. However, the Construction Manager will need to be on-site during critical project phases.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Extensive experience in large-scale construction projects within the Oil & Gas, Chemical, Nuclear, Pharmaceutical, Biotech, or Life Sciences sectors.
  • A degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering or construction management field is preferred.
  • Significant field experience in construction management is essential.
  • Proven track record of leading large capital projects over $50 MM as a Senior Construction Manager.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Project or Construction Management.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

If you are an experienced Construction Manager ready to take on the challenges of a high-value project, or if you would like to learn more, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
