Company Secretary with knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements for charitable companies, implementing policies and systems to ensure compliance and good knowledge of GDPR, is required for a well-established global organisation based in Rugby, Warwickshire, West Midlands.SALARY: £51,969 per annum + BenefitsLOCATION: Hybrid a mix of office-based work in Rugby, Warwickshire and working from homeJOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent will consider Part-TimeWORKING HOURS: 35 hours per week (hours are negotiable)JOB OVERVIEWWe have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Company Secretary with knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements for charitable companies, implementing policies and systems to ensure compliance and good knowledge of GDPR.Working as the Company Secretary you will support all the organisations entities and subsidiaries in proving effective and efficient legal, governance and operational support .As the Company Secretary your role will support the Board and Senior Management by keeping abreast of developments in the legal and regulatory environment and acting as focal point for providing/security specialist advice to support decision making .The role also manages and develops several internal systems.DUTIESYour duties as a Company Secretary will include:Oversight and management of UK legal budgetEnsure that all legal registrations for all offices and subsidiaries are maintained and that relevant documents are available to key staff and governance bodiesEnsure all returns to Companies House/Charity Commission are made and that Board/Committees sign off as neededMaintain statutory registers including register of members, register of People with Significant Control, Register of Directors (including residential addresses), register of secretaries and register of chargesProvide specialist support to GLT, Chair of Board of Trustees and Chair of Finance, Audit and Risk Committee in relation to governance, legal and regulatory compliance.
