We are currently seeking a strong communicator to join us as aCommodity Buyer (Spondon/Hybrid)

As aCommodity Buyeryou will be responsible for ensuring our product is sourced with the best supplier and at the best terms, creating and maintaining appropriate supplier relationships, supplier contract management and both tactical and strategic projects and tasks. This includes conducting regular RFQ activities, monitoring contract governance adherence, and being responsible for creating and implementing commodity strategies. Able to build strong relationships with an understanding of how to reduce costs; you will be confident and able to work using your own initiative whilst providing a first-class service to internal and external stakeholders.

About You

You will be a solution focused problem solver, resilient and analytical; able to gather data in excel to lead or support with supplier negotiations. You will be a self-starter, able to work confidently, building and maintaining strong relationships with your suppliers.

We are looking for individuals with at least two years’ experience in purchasing, preferably in the aerospace, automotive, medical or similar industries.

  • Starting salary between £36,500 to £45,500 dependent on experience
