Job Description:

Zenna is a digital therapeutics (DTx) spin-out from a 20-year-old neuroscience research firm. We invented a breakthrough brainwave therapy through AI-generated sound modulation to treat migraines and headache disorders. Our solution offers patients the world’s first non-invasive and convenient method to relieve pain with just a pair of regular headphones and a mobile phone—anytime, anywhere. With clinical validation at our core, our AI-generated music therapy is backed by rigorous clinical trials involving over 5,000 patients in collaboration with public hospitals. We are on a mission to redefine mental health care through accessible, user-centric solutions for conditions like migraines, depression, and anxiety.

We are looking for an experienced digital health product leader with deep expertise in DTx, regulatory compliance, and clinical validation to help us scale and innovate. This role offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of healthcare, technology, and product strategy.

If you meet at least 50% of the qualifications, and you have the right mindset and passion to be an early stage startup cofounder, we would love to hear from you!

Tasks

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and Execute Product Strategy:Lead the development of Zenna’s mobile app, balancing clinical impact with user experience. Align product vision with our mission to enhance mental well-being through innovative technology.
  • Regulatory Compliance & Strategy:Lead all aspects of regulatory strategy for Zenna’s digital therapeutics solution. Advise on the regulatory approval process (e.g., UKCA, CE, FDA) for digital health products, ensuring compliance with industry standards and guidelines. Your expertise will guide the clinical validation process and make sure we meet international regulatory requirements.
  • Clinical Validation Leadership:Advise on trial design, guide the clinical validation process, and ensure product efficacy and safety align with healthcare standards. Manage stakeholder engagement to drive successful outcomes.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:Work closely with a passionate team of neuroscientists and engineers to bridge the gap between clinical practice and cutting-edge technology, ensuring our solutions are scientifically sound and user-centric.
  • Business Development & Clinical Networking:Build relationships with the scientific community, clinicians, and key stakeholders to ensure product relevance and market alignment. Drive business development efforts to facilitate regulatory partnerships and clinical trials.
  • Advocacy for Patient-Centric Solutions:Advocate for products designed to improve patient quality of life, focusing on accessibility, convenience, and therapeutic efficacy.
  • User Growth & Community Building:Lead efforts to grow and engage the user base through continuous product innovation and refinement. You’ll ensure that user feedback and data are integrated into product decisions, creating a patient-centric solution with long-term engagement.
  • Drive DTx Commercialization:Help lead the commercialization efforts of Zenna’s solution. Build relationships with healthcare providers, payers, and industry leaders to ensure product relevance, adoption, and integration into existing health systems.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

  • Digital Health Product:Product management experience within digital health or a related industry, with a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in health therapeutics.
  • Regulatory:Proven experience navigating regulatory processes (e.g., UKCA, CE) and hands-on experience in clinical trials.
  • Track Record in User Growth:Demonstrated success in launching, scaling digital health or wellness products and building engaged user communities.
  • Network & Business Development:Proven track record of successfully selling health tech products, particularly in insurance (both public and private sectors).
  • Consumer-Centered Design:Strong focus on user experience with a track record of building consumer-facing health products that prioritize customer satisfaction and usability.

Strongly Preferred:

  • Medical or Clinical Degree (MD, DO, or equivalent):Medical doctor background in neurology, general practice, or related specialties. Experience working in clinical settings with patients suffering from chronic conditions is a major plus.
  • Startup Experience:Experience as a co-founder, senior leader, or advisor in a fast-growing startup, particularly in the digital therapeutics, neuroscience, or wellness space.
  • Experience Leading Digital Health Products:Proven success in leading digital health products, particularly in digital therapeutics (DTx), neuroscience, or mental wellness industries. Strong understanding of product lifecycles, from ideation to clinical validation and regulatory approval.
  • Regulatory Approval Experience:Hands-on experience navigating the regulatory approval process for digital health solutions and medical devices (UKCA, CE, FDA, etc.).

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Clinical Trials:Hands-on experience in managing or advising on clinical trials, particularly those related to neurological or chronic pain conditions.
  • Experience with EU & UK Grants and Funding:Familiarity with obtaining grants or funding in the UK/EU healthcare or digital health space, including access to research funding or public health initiatives.
  • Technical Expertise in Neuroscience:Familiarity with technologies related to neurostimulation, brainwave therapy, or other non-invasive therapeutics can be a strong bonus.
  • Prior Experience in Health Insurance or Reimbursement Models:Experience navigating insurance and reimbursement pathways for digital health solutions, ensuring that our product is reimbursed and accessible for patients.

Join a mission-driven company dedicated to improving the quality of life for people suffering from chronic pain. Every day, your work will directly impact patient outcomes, offering non-invasive solutions to improve mental health and overall well-being.

You will get:

  • Co-founder Equity:Own a meaningful share of the company from day one.
  • Monthly Stipend:£2.2k to cover initial costs as we build.
  • Post-Investment Salary:Competitive pay once we secure funding.
  • Collaborative Workspace:Office space in Euston, London, with access to other deep-tech founders and ecosystem players at Zinc VC.
  • Zinc VC Network & Support:Access to coaching, investor networks, mentors, and business support.
  • Exclusive Access:Be part of groundbreaking research, technology, and clinical trials in the field of neuroscience and brainwave therapy.

Open to Advisors

If you’re passionate about our mission to revolutionize chronic pain and mental health care with innovative, non-invasive solutions, and find our technology impactful, we’d love to hear from you. If you’re unable to commit full-time as a co-founder but have the expertise we’re looking for, we’re also open to discussing advisory opportunities. Please reach out to us on LinkedIn – we’d be excited to connect!
