CNC Machinist ??Coleraine, Northern Ireland ?? Up to £17.00 per hour | 38 hours per week ?? Full-time | Permanent | Dayshift A long-established precision engineering company in Garvagh is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a hands-on machining role within a small, highly skilled team producing complex components for sectors including heavy industry, electronics, and pharmaceuticals. The business operates a modern machine shop equipped with a range of CNC mills and lathes, including 5-axis and large-capacity equipment. Key Responsibilities: Programming, setting, and operating CNC lathes and milling machines (Fanuc and similar control systems) Interpreting technical drawings and producing parts to specification Carrying out first-off and in-process inspections using measuring tools Maintaining production efficiency and adhering to quality standards (ISO 9001:2015) Ensuring safe and tidy working practices across the shop floor Working collaboratively with a small, experienced team Essential Criteria: Proven experience as a CNC Machinist (programming and/or setting) Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings Strong knowledge of Fanuc or equivalent CNC control systems Skilled in the use of standard inspection tools (e.g. micrometers, verniers, gauges) Comfortable working with both small and large components Desirable: Experience operating 5-axis or large-capacity CNC machinery Background in precision engineering environments Awareness of ISO 9001 quality systems Package & Benefits: Hourly rate: up to £17.00 per hour (depending on experience) 38-hour working week (dayshift) Overtime opportunities available Permanent, full-time position Well-established and well-invested engineering company Supportive and close-knit team environment Want to find out more?
