We are seeking to appoint a Clinical Trial Manager to join the Department of Radiotherapy and Imaging - Clinical Trials Unit which undertakes research trials in radiotherapy and urological cancers.
Key Requirements
The Clinical Trial Manager will be responsible for the full project management of allocated trials from initial feasibility to final report and site closedown. The post-holder will liaise effectively with other key members of the study teams including the Chief Investigator, data managers, trial monitors, statisticians, investigator site clinicians, site coordinators and research nurses, to ensure clinical studies meet the requirements of all legal and regulatory obligations and the Department of Health’s Research Governance Framework.
Educated to degree level in life sciences (or equivalent) with proven knowledge of GCP with at least 2 years previous experience of the clinical trial process, the post holder must be highly organised, self motivated and able to manage complex studies, planning their work and competing priorities around a busy clinical unit. They should be logical and methodical, possess strong problem solving skills and be fluent in the use of MS Office applications.

The Division of Radiotherapy and Imaging is investigating new imaging methods to diagnose cancer, and ways in which advances in technology and molecular biology can improve radiation treatment. It is also increasingly concerned with the use of imaging to evaluate the response to treatment in vivo, through techniques measuring aspects of tumour biology.
