We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Lead Prosthetist to join our existing, specialist team at this clinic. The role: As Clinical Lead Prosthetist, you will deliver clinically excellent prosthetic service. This includes budget management and ensuring the clinical team meets set targets.Key Responsibilities:Taking the lead clinically, dealing with complex or difficult cases.Training/supervising/mentoring less experienced colleagues as required.Demonstrating a deep understanding of patients’ pathology and providing guidance to the clinical team on the most appropriate clinical intervention.Leading the prosthetic team in outcome measurement including use of gait analysis equipment.Assisting the Area Manager, Clinical & Contract Manager, and wider Blatchford team in developing and maintaining protocols, standards, systems and administrative functions to ensure the seamless delivery of services to customers. Assisting with presentations, seminars, training, and education at all levels.Leading the team in all aspects of clinical governance with the support of the Area/Clinical & Contract Manager.Taking part in clinical audit and clinical research, liaising with both clinical and technical employees.What are we looking for? Essential skills and experience Qualified in Prosthetics/Orthotics HCPC registrationMember of BAPO/ISPO (desirable) Experience in a wide range of prosthetic provision Experience of gait analysis/pressure measurement systemsAble to prioritise and manage your own workload and that of othersExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of communicating with colleagues at all levels Be able to manage difficult, challenging and sensitive situationsGood judgment and decision-making skills What can we offer you?
