NeoGenomics has an opening for Clinical Laboratory Technologist, Flow Cytometry at our Cambridge, UK site who wants to continue to learn in order to allow our company to grow. This is an onsite position at the facility. This position is a Monday - Friday, day shift.

Position Summary:

As a Clinical Laboratory Technologist– Dry Lab your primary focus is Flow Cytometry data analysis for pharma study samples. Your responsibilities include ensuring the accuracy and reliability of flow cytometry results, operating and maintaining flow cytometers, and collaborating with laboratory staff to support pharma projects. Sample processing may also be required based on laboratory needs and staffing. You will work under minimal supervision, consistently performing a greater number or more complex tasks and assignments with accuracy. This role represents the intermediate level in the Technologist job category.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct flow cytometry data analysis and ensure the accuracy and reliability of results according to department SOP
  • Operate and maintain flow cytometers, including Beckman Coulter Navios, Becton Dickinson Fortessa, and Cytek Auroras
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to flow cytometry instruments and software
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of all experiments and analyses
  • Collaborate with other laboratory staff and researchers to support ongoing projects
  • Collaborate with the quality department to write and support quality documentation
  • Ensure compliance with all laboratory safety protocols and regulations
  • Participate in the development and optimization of new flow cytometry protocols

Education, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Chemical, Biological, or Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or Biomedical Sciences -OR- · Equivalent education meeting the regulatory requirements in the UK
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Biomedical Scientist or Clinical Scientist preferred
  • Four or more years of experience in high complexity Flow Cytometry testing experience
  • Have a solid understanding of general laboratory techniques with an emphasis on flow cytometry techniques
  • Be proficient in using at least one, preferably two, of the following cytometers: Beckman Coulter Navios, Becton Dickinson Fortessa, or Cytek Auroras
  • Be familiar with FCS Express software
  • Possess appropriate computer skills to accomplish tasks
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Work independently and within a team environment
  • Work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment while maintaining production and quality standards
  • Work in a biohazard environment and comply with safety policies and standards outlined in the Safety Manual
  • Have good visual acuity, including color perception, required for certain departments
  • Be able to lift up to 50 pounds preferred
  • Have knowledge of immunology (a plus)
