Our client are a leading UK Design Consultancy, delivering multi-disciplinary engineering solutions in the Built Environment. They have a diverse range of clients and portfolio of projects which cover industrial, pharmaceutical, residential, commercial, education, defence, probation and domestic sectors. They work with a mixture of clients both public and private across a broad range of sectors and due to their quality of service, a large percentage of their work is repeat business based on years of partnerships, even with generations of the same family.

Due to continuing demand, their busy Sheffield Civils Team have an opportunity for an Engineering Technician to join their buoyant office, working on projects in Yorkshire and further afield. They are looking for a motivated Technician with a minimum of three years UK industry experience to join their busy team and work on a wide range of projects with a multitude of clients, contractors and architects.

The role will ideally suit a HND or Engineering graduate who has experience using AutoCAD/Civil in a professional capacity and that is looking for a career within Civil Engineering and in particular the design of Roads and Drainage schemes. This is a great opportunity to learn from experienced engineers in one of the area's best Consultancies. You will be involved in the assistance in the preparation of drainage drawings for Residential and Retail developments in AutoCAD and Civil 3D. You will also assist with the presentation of General Arrangement drawings; assist in site visits and general administrative work.

The only essential experiences you require for this role is working with Civils3D and InfoDrainage/MicroDrainage and working on road alignments ideally, within a Civil Engineering Environment. The role will be centred around draughting designs, produced whilst working alongside Civil Engineers, for highways and drainage developments that are in accordance with Section 38s, 104s and 278s of the NRSWA.

You will set a strong example of client care and general consultancy and work alongside the existing team of Engineers and Graduates to do the same and maintain responsibility for the financial performance of your projects, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality design.
