Allucent is looking for a strong and experienced leader in the clinical trial industry to join our A-team as the new Chief Operational Officer (COO) . The Chief Operating Officer will have oversight of all operational activities at Allucent. S/he will report directly to the CEO and be a key member of the executive team. This position will be responsible for leading drug development operations and consulting, from pre-clinical through Phase 4, including workflow strategy, planning, and executing short-to-long term business strategies for Allucent. For this position it is required to work at least 2 days per week from one of our office locations in either the US or Europe.

Main responsibilities:

Responsible for day-to-day operations of the operational and consulting business units, ensuring that all departments work efficiently and effectively to meet business objectives
Oversee a high-performing global team of 600+
Interface with and accountable to executive-level counterparts in sponsor/customer organizations
Identify, develop, and implement business strategy for the operational organization
Guide Allucent clinical and consulting operations and lead workflow strategy
Analyzes and implements continuous improvement initiatives to ensure operational excellence in the operational business units
Lead key initiatives and execute long-term business strategies
Evaluate and direct the organization's activities to achieve targets for project performance (budgets and timelines) and quality deliverables
Responsible for the financial performance to ensure financial success for both Allucent and its customer's projects and their outcomes
Develop and maintain organizational culture, values, and reputation

Requirements

Who we are looking for:

Fifteen or more years of experience in clinical research
Five or more years of experience in executive leadership roles
Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity
Understanding of advanced business planning and regulatory issues
Solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics
Ability to diagnose problems quickly and foresee potential issues
International business experience
