SUMMARY:
Our client is a publicly traded, well-funded Biotech located in the Boston area. They have a very attractive first-in-class pipeline as well as collaborations in place with other prominent pharmas. They are looking for an experienced Chief Legal Officer/General Counsel to join the executive team as they go through extensive growth over the next several years.
Our client is looking for a dynamic legal executive that thrives in a smaller company environment – someone that has strong emotional intelligence and executive presence that also likes to be collaborative and drive strategy.

Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel
LOCATION:

Boston or New York Area

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for providing executive-level legal leadership, oversight, strategy and guidance cross-functionally to manufacturing, regulatory, medical affairs, clinical development, compliance, business development, alliance management, human resources, finance, quality, commercial and R&D.
Oversee and lead a strong team of internal legal professionals as well as other external resources.
Serve as a trusted and strategic advisor and partner to C-suite executives and Board of Directors.
REQUIREMENTS:
10+ years of relevant experience, which includes inhouse experience within the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry.
Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
Must be able to work in a fast paced/dynamic culture.
