A historic and high-performing grammar school in Oxford is looking to appoint an Early Career Teacher of Chemistry for a September 2025 start. This academically selective school has a rich legacy of scientific achievement, with former pupils going on to study at Oxbridge and Russell Group universities. The Science department is dynamic, collaborative, and extremely well-resourced, offering new teachers an inspiring place to begin their careers.

You will join a team of specialists who work closely together to deliver a rich and rigorous curriculum that balances theoretical depth with exciting practical application. Chemistry is one of the school's most popular and successful A-Level subjects, and the department prides itself on fostering deep scientific understanding as well as confidence in lab skills and analysis.

As an ECT, you will follow a structured two-year induction, with regular meetings, coaching sessions, and developmental observations. You will be given protected non-contact time, access to online and in-person CPD events, and support in building subject-specific pedagogy through department-led initiatives.
